How to Check APAAR ID Status Online: Verification Methods

By APAAR Educational Editorial Desk Updated: September 2026 Tracking Tutorial

After submitting parental consent slips or registering through your university, many students wonder how to track whether their 12-digit APAAR ID has been activated. Because the creation pipeline is managed institutionally through UDISE+ and central UIDAI authentication servers, there are two primary methods to check:

Method 1: School / Institutional Inquiries (Authorized Channel)

Schools process student records in batches. Your school's administrative office or appointed APAAR nodal coordinator has direct access to the UDISE+ administrative dashboard.

  1. Contact your school's data entry operator, class teacher, or principal's office.
  2. Provide your student admission number and full name.
  3. The operator checks your record against the school's UDISE+ student list.
  4. If status shows "Generated", the school can provide you with your unique 12-digit number right away.

Method 2: DigiLocker Issued Documents Check

Once generated, the digital identity card is securely pushed to the student’s Aadhaar-linked DigiLocker account:

  1. Log into digilocker.gov.in or the mobile app.
  2. Go to Issued Documents.
  3. If your ID was generated, you will see "Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) Card" under the Ministry of Education.
  4. Click to view or save the verified PDF document.

What Does "Status Pending" Mean?

A pending status usually indicates that the school has entered the student profile on UDISE+ but has not yet completed the Aadhaar demographic authentication trigger, or parental consent has not yet been toggled.
