APAAR ID Documents & Requirements
1. Official Documents Checklist
To ensure successful demographic validation without errors or status delays, the following records are required as per official Ministry of Education directives:
Institutional Student Record
School admission number, class roll number, or university registration index as listed in school registers.
Permanent Education Number (PEN)
Assigned to students through the central UDISE+ database. Your school's administrative office can provide this 11-digit number.
Aadhaar Demographic Alignment
Student's Full Name (matching exact spelling), Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY), and Gender. These are validated electronically against UIDAI records.
Signed Parental Consent Form (For Minors)
Physical or digital consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian authorizing the school to initiate APAAR creation for students under 18 years.
Aadhaar-Linked Active Mobile Number
Required for college students registering independently via DigiLocker or ABC to receive one-time authentication OTPs.
2. Demographic Matching Rules
The automated validation engine uses strict matching logic:
- Character Accuracy: If a student's name is recorded as "Aditya Kumar" in school records but "Aditya K." in Aadhaar, the system triggers a mismatch error.
- DOB Format: The date of birth in school admission records must align with UIDAI records.
